63. Retraite Québec may, with the authorization of the Government, enter into a transfer agreement with a government of Canada or any other agency maintaining a pension plan, and with the body administering that plan, to obtain, in respect of a person participating in this plan, the transfer of all or part of the years of service accumulated in the pension plan in which the person was participating. Where a transfer agreement thus entered into provides that years and parts of years of service accumulated under the other pension plan are recognized only for the purposes of entitlement to a pension under this plan, a council member who pays an amount determined by the agreement to obtain, under this plan, the transfer of all or part of those years and parts of years of service shall pay the amount in the manner prescribed under the second paragraph of section 115.8 of the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (chapter R-10). An agreement under the first paragraph may provide that it applies to a person participating in this plan who enters the service of a government in Canada or any other agency maintaining a pension plan.
